Cerebral Hemorrhage I have many photographers whose work I admire including Chase Jarvis, Brooke Shaden, David LaChapelle, and Erwin Olaf, to name a few. I think it’s hard to narrow down exactly where I get my inspiration. Sometimes it’s something somebody says, sometimes it’s a scene in a movie, sometimes it’s another artist’s work, and sometimes it’s a seemingly random thought that pops into my head. I think every artist strives to keep his or her work fresh and I think the best way to do that is to never get totally comfortable with what you’re doing. If you always take pictures of others, try some self-portraits, if you’re used to taking landscape pictures, ask a friend to pose for you. Be comfortable enough to be good at what you’re doing, but uncomfortable enough that you don’t become too scared to try new techniques or ideas. |
