I'm originally from South Africa, born on the east coast in a town called Durban. I moved with my family to Canada when I was 19 and now live just outside Toronto.
My photography start was dumb luck really... I just liked taking pictures when I was a child but because of the cost of film in South Africa it was too expensive to really become a hobby, so I just messed about with disposable cameras.
It was when I first started travelling in my early twenties that I really got into it - because I love taking pictures of different countries and cultures. It just carried on from there when I wanted to really become proficient at it ( not even close yet ) and so it became my hobby. I just taught myself and picked up what I could from constantly taking pictures.
