Photography was part of the process in designing record sleeves; something I always thought of as creating a world for the group to exist in. I picked it up along the way, learning as I went, trying out new techniques.

My interest in computing led to a long hiatus, I dabbled with digital cameras, but was disappointed in the results produced by the cameras I could afford. I probably used a scanner more frequently for image making.

Then two years a go a carton unexpectedly arrived by taxi-cab, inside was detritus that I left behind in an old studio, the building now being redeveloped. Within the box lay some medium format transparencies I had shot of a band. Holding them up to the light I was immediately struck by the richness, the analogue grain, the chemicals and tangible optics. I bought a Holga the next day.
