IMPA is a former metallurgy factory which is now self-managed by workers who had been
contacted by a number of artists who saw the possibility of creating a
cultural center within the factory including workshops, a theater, and a
community center for meetings, parties, and concerts. The factory
turned into a space for the production of ideas and art in addition to
commercial goods. IMPA, the "Cultural City" was declared a site of cultural interest by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires on June 14th, 2001. Thanks in part to Natalia and her incredible dance classes. |
