Photography is currently my hobby/part time job. I'm a highschool student, so I can't shoot whenever I want, which is too bad. I always take on clients on weeknights/weekends though. My most recent large client was the Hart House Symphony Orchestra, which is a small orchestra based out of the University of Toronto, which I shot just the other weekend. My goal for the future is to score a gig as a staff photographer somewhere, if not, I'd like to go into graphic design. My dream job is probably freelance though. If I was a popular freelance photographer like Platon or Terry Richardson, I'd be the happiest camera geek alive. I got into portraits mainly from my friends all loving attention. They knew I was good with a camera, so they started asking me to take photos of them. After a year or so of practice, I updated my lighting equipment, and started taking photos of people just for fun. All of these shots are from January of this year, when I was experimenting with subjects on a solid white background. If I were to give one piece of advice, it'd be to never stop doing what you love. If you take something out of photography, then stick with it. |
