The first part of my creative education commenced in Moscow University of Arts and Culture. I wanted to study photography but at that time the department of photography was closed. I found out that the Department of Film and TV Director had photography lessons and I decided to try it!
Knowing nothing about film making I decide to give it a go: I wasn’t even the best at school to believe I could be accepted to a university but I decided to try anyway. I heard so many words from others that I would not be able to do it, just my mother supported me and believed in me which was very helpful. All I wanted to do was to prove myself, I told myself ‘I can be who I want to be‘. That was a challenge. I failed my first attempt but was excepted the following year. Now I know that whatever people say to you, you must trust your heart, move where you want to go and you will get to your destination.
