I find the intersection between fashion and fine art photography (and how to merge those genres) very interesting. At the core of my photographs there is a challenge to the very nature of commercial image making. Typical fashion images focus on beauty and clothing as their central elements. My main impact in photography resides on the fact that it is not fashion itself but the image that fascinates the viewer.

What has art to do with it?

Commercial fashion photography has to work. Art does not.

What about your team?

The main staff I'm working with are like a big family to me. Of course the crew can vary from shoot to shoot but it's all about trust and we have known each other for several years. Every single person I work with is a die hard believer in what we do; they are specialists with huge pride for what they do. That is why I'm in a lucky position to realize personal projects with such an incredibly motivated and professional crew.

Inspiration?

I get my inspiration everywhere. When I look out the window, a hotel room, music, emotions, the grapevine; things which surprise me.  Anything that evokes emotions. Anything or anyone I like to look at or listen to over and over again. From anything which gives me the "heebie-jeebies." As for other photographers, everyone who is honest is interesting.

If you want to keep your work fresh you must feel and think.
