This shoot arose from wanting to do something completely different to my usual style. I have shot a lot of fairytale scenarios in the past with very full frames and lots of detail; I wanted to step away from that and shoot something almost empty. So I shot in a studio and allowed only one prop per frame. I aimed to evoke something futuristic, to create a character far removed from what we are used to seeing whilst maintaining a fashion aesthetic.
Many people have described my style as fantasy fashion, which I am proud of, though I enjoy seeing how far I can push that description, as with this shoot, but still staying true to my style.
