If I was starting now, and wanted some security, I think weddings are great. Incredible atmosphere, follow the bride through the day, and if you have a female accomplice have her follow the groom from getting up to the end of the day. Create a book digitally and some good prints in black and white. Very hard to do well, but marriage is still in fashion. And if you care about prints, now is a great time to buy film cameras and darkroom gear, and to learn.
