Fendi Zucca Close Up

Making a living with my art is touch and go. I’m currently selling work at Lik Neon and The Brick Lane Gallery, but I still have a day job. I would say that you have to just keep soldiering on and making work, everyday when I finish my ‘job’ I come home and I spend about 4 hours making art. It's survival of the fittest!

I’m a fast worker, ideas become stale so quickly, also because my work is so contextual I could easily miss the boat. If my work was a fashion company, it would be like Topshop, quick to convert ideas (from my head) into reality (into objects).

I would love to work with some of the big brash luxury fashion houses, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Dolce and Gabanna, I make something really gross but quite beautiful out of all of the above. I would love to make some video work with some supermodels, perhaps they could wear burqas? I would love to make something as beautiful as Chris Cunningham’s Gucci advert. I want to be doing what I do, but making money out of it, not just a little, a lot. Money is so important.
