The images in this article are from a series titled “table and chair”. I wanted to create a body of work using nothing more than a dancer(s) and a table and/or chair as the environment, nothing else would be allowed as additional elements.

Like most of my work in the past I was motivated to create a complete series of strong and beautiful images within a simple consistent framework. Since I first discovered Lois Greenfield’s work in the late 80’s I became very interested in motion capture photography. I love the illusion that can be created by freezing the motion of dancers or physical theatre and most of this series was shot using this technique.
