After I graduated, I moved to London where I currently am pursuing my photography career. I get my inspiration for my images from a variety of places… movies, books, other fashion images, music videos, and from anything I find beautiful. Whenever I shoot now I work with a full creative team: a stylist, a model (often from agencies), makeup artist and hair stylist. It is amazing to work with a team that can help you execute the images you have in your head.

I am not sure of my style at this particular moment, as I am currently exploding with ideas and currently trying to create them all. On some days I want to tell the story of an elegant ice queen and on others of a young girl acting out a fairytale. I have suddenly realized the things that are possible with a great team, and ideas just flow.
To date I have a accomplished several awards and honors in the photo world. I have received awards for College Photographer of the Year, gotten scholarships, published in international magazines, lectured at huge conventions, and gained the respect of my peers.

Right now in my career I am focusing on gathering tear sheets (publishing in print and online publications) so that I can find an agent and start getting the paid work I really want. In photography, you make ends meet however possible. I make money is a wide variety of ways. I teach photo workshops and seminars, I do some product photography, I write photo how-to articles, I do portraiture, and even the occasional wedding. These other photo jobs help me to be able to pursue the work I really want— fashion photography.
