Being an assistant is nothing really creative and I love to play the main role. To be honest – there's no one I would like to assist, even if I admire and respect many photographers, Cindy Sherman, Jeanloup Sieff, Guy Bourdin, Helmut Newton and many more. But very few of them are my inspiration or direct inspiration. I don't want them to be as I don't want to be inspired by pictures and copy ideas instinctively or on purpose. When I prepare for a shoot I try not to look at any photos for few days before.

In fact what inspires me more are movies...old classic movies, paintings and popular songs.. even the most stupid ones. And my favourite models. And – some of my favourite singers – Bjork, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Tom Waits – all the ones creating their own worlds but building the magic with realistic parts of an unpoetic world.
