People always ask me how I come up with the concepts for my shoots. When I first started doing creative directing, I had no idea that it would mean I would be able to boss around the photographer! But really, I had no idea how important a creative director was and that it was another talent that I could add on to my belt.

Eventually, I started having problems with other photographers giving me credit as creative director for their shoots. I guess they did not want me to have that credit because then people would know they were not the creative force at the shoot.

I feel any creative director is a huge part to any production. I just don't understand how people think they can create strong fashion stories without one.

My process is very free and I come up with many ideas on set. I think its most important to get a feel for your model and then create a set from that.

This shoot kind of came to me when I had our muse/model, the stunning Anna Mack, playing around like she was a tomboy. It became clear to me that we should create a story with that same edgy feel. That's why all of the poses are very hard and the looks are edgy. But we still wanted the story to have a strong fashion feel to it.  This shoot meant so much to us because it was the first big production that Wayne and I 'The Hit Factory' had done together.
