Certain movies seem to entangle me at completely various and most often odd occasions. It wasn't any different with "Histoire d'O", which was one of those certain movies that caught my attention while I was mindlessly browsing through all the channels on my TV. First thing that got to me was the image itself, exposed in a beautiful, subtle way... with colors which seem like they were taken straight from a warm aquarium..with a light fog that is so typical for many movies from this time (1975) and which brings to mind current fashion editorial trends from respected fashion magazines. Unfortunately erotic movies changed for the bad since that time. Nowadays, with all the current schemes in the movie production business, it is hard for me to imagine a movie like "Histoire d'O" to be even considered worthy. Besides, the second part of Histoire which was made in the 80's was already a complete failure (even though some scenes were very tasty). For me it is the first part that is so unique and special.
