When I do my personal stuff, like the shoot that is on display here, I like using simple tools. Mostly because I don't want to tamper with the mood too much, I want my friends to feel comfortable around me. Not like they're always at a fashion shoot. My fashion stuff is more structured, but I still try to create scenarios, I think it looks less stiff and unnatural that way. I feel relatively comfortable in front of the camera myself, so I also try to step into my own images and show models how I would have done it. Ideally, that gives them a good view of what I'm looking for.
