These pictures are a mixture of personal and published work but I make no difference between them. I like both and both have the same importance to me. They look the same too, so it's not so important to me who it was created for or who is in the pics. The only importance is if you like them or not. I love people who hate my work, the same as people who love it. It's the reaction that's important to me, then I know I did it right.

For everybody who wants to earn a living with their photography, it's important not to think about other people's opinions too much. Go for you own inspiration and stay there, then you can make whatever you want out of it, maybe even money.

Be timeless, classic, simple, loud, not loud, left or right, up or down. Never in between, these are two words that I am always scared of because then it gets boring.

The only advice for young photographers and my assistants I can give is to go for your ideas and keep it simple. Learn the classic work and you can always get crazy once you have that experience.

And don't look too many trendy magazines, try to go into the library and look at the classic stuff.
