I'm pretty happy with how my first 18 months freelance have gone; I've not pushed myself too hard in terms of promotion; Once I move on from assisting Zed Nelson I'll be ready to put myself out there a lot more.

If I had any advice to give it would be to be professional – be on time for jobs, learn how to present yourself to clients. be confident in what you are doing.

Shoot lots, and follow both your head and your heart; shoot work that you enjoy shooting, but invest time and energy into research and looking at other photographers to improve your own techniques and knowledge.
