Fashion is another one
of my passions. On the one hand, I just love a beautiful image. On the
other, I find the work to be wonderfully challenging. When shooting
fashion, every part is extremely important; from make-up and hair,
lighting and the model, to the styling and the retouching. . . . If
even one of those elements is not there, the shoot is just not up to
par. The creative process usually starts with the stylist, myself, and
a coffee. . . . or a drink. We talk about colours, shapes, fabrics,
locations, make-up, hair, and much more. Once that is decided, the rest
is all about planning and finding the right people.
For this particular shoot, I have to give credit to my stylist Catherine. We had planned another story altogether, but at the last minute we lost the location. We ended up using this rooftop, where Catherine had always wanted to shoot. She proposed the colour and umbrella idea: I loved it! |
