Behind my work there is a common intention and you can certainly envisage a sort of theme. All those works are about people, men or women. About relationships, but they are also about situations where life is not clear any more. Where it's hard to establish what is normal, what is real or acceptable and what is not. For example the sexy girl with a book walking to a cemetery on the mountains (Missing); or the naked mum (The Stairs) waiting for her daughter at the top of the stairs: are those situations real or not, or both?

And what about the young couple of lovers (Phone Call), are they two girls or a girl and man? But who cares? And why should we care? Again, what about the man and a woman of Summer Holidays? Is this the most normal situation possible? The man reading his newspaper and the woman reading her book. Is this just a moment of pause, a break within their holidays? Or is this lack of communication the real normality of their and our entire holidays?
