Craig A. McKenzie studied under a master woodworker until the age of 12, when he discovered an enlarger in his basement and abandoned his training. One very early morning when he was 15, his father woke him, saying " Anita's bar is burning...You should go take some photos" and he did. These photos landed him a job at the local weekly newspaper where his primary task was photographer and darkroom technician. Craig graduated high school, and attended St. Clair County Community College where he studied graphic design. He was awarded a scholarship to study abroad in Japan for the summer, and upon his return, was awarded a full tuition scholarship at The College for Creative Studies in Detroit. He graduated with a double major in Graphic Design and Photography. He has dedicated this past year to learning the ins and outs of digital imaging and its place within the realm of fashion photography.
