All the shots in this story are from my art projects. If you are interested you can find two show reels with small movies on my site that Dutch television made:  http://www.remcovandenbosch.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=22&Itemid=50

For these latest projects I worked with a selection of people varying from 20 people from the old-folks home to a big group of playmates from Dutch Playboy magazine. Again, this is unconventional portraiture in an unconventional way. The revenues of these shoots where donated to Children's Cancer Funding.

How did I got to these shots? I've got a creative process in my head 24/7. I sleep with a sketch dummy beside my bed and have a memo-recorder when I am driving in a car. All the concepts just pop up. I ask my make-up artist and friends what they think about the ideas and I try to set a course for the shoot. I never know what I am going to shoot and the whole setting comes together the moment a model comes from make-up and I get my camera and turn on the lights.

I have also realized and developed the concept: Artmarathon. For a period of 10 days I lock myself up in my studio with my cameras, computer, make-up artist (yes, she is devoted) and a different model every day, working 16 to 20 hours on one concept with only 4 hours sleep a day. With no time for self-reflection strange but very positive and creative things happen! No borders! You become part of the concept!
