I live in New York
City's Lower East Side, among vast amounts of refuse and
inspiration.
During a time of inner exploration I became interested in taking
portraits of the thousands of vagabond bicycles in the streets of lower
Manhattan. I see a bicycle on the street and sense it’s
personality,
an implied human presence. The portraits are dramatic, quiet, close,
far, loud, and soft, but they all say something about the life of the
bicycle in the frame. |
