Upon return to New York I assisted every photographer that would hire me and learned the craft in that way. I was one of the first female assistants and admittedly not a very good one...but I pulled my weight. It was the most fun I've had on a job outside of shooting. I got to work with many interesting people and to travel the world extensively.
