Sonia made her debut in a travelling exhibition that brought her success in
exposing and selling  her  images at the Copenhagen Visual Art (1993), at
Washington and at the Boston Ashuah Irvin Gallery (1994), at Geneve
Photographic Center and in Barcelona (1995), and in Tokyo for the Zoom International Photogrphic Exhibition (celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Zoom)( 2004).

Personal exhibitions were also arranged in several Italian cities such as Milan, "Persona " at the Centro Filologico Milanese (1992); Padua,  Fotopadova (1993); Milan, "Immaginando" at Spazio Agfa-Gavaert (1998); Arco (TN),“So simple” at Atelier Segantini (2002); Milan, “Smile, please” at Killer Plastic and Milch (2003); Padua, and "So simple" at Galleria SottoPasso della Stua (2004).

More exhibitions took place in Milan: Photograpy Exhibition for Emergency at Il Castello Art Galley (1997); Milan Fotoforun - Female Photography Festival (1998); Milan, "Care of" Collected Authors Show of Via Farini (1999); Milan, Outlook Express authors selection for the Anniversary of Via Farini Archives (2000); Milan, "Il Chiaroscuro della Violenza" at Palazzo della Triennale(2000).
