I just turned down
University and some scholarships because things are going too well for
me. My last year of high school was very limiting to what I really
wanted to do. I had to turn down a lot of jobs and trips associated
with my photography. I'd hate to do that at this point, it's really
crucial for me and school will always be there for me if I need to go
back to it. In high school I had all these pictures from India I wanted to edit but I had no time because I was stuck drawing my hands for art class. I missed over 35 days in my last semester because I was away taking photos. I'm out of highschool now starting this summer and I've been home a grand total of 5 days, the rest I've been on photoshoots, hosting workshops and just travelling and visiting friends. I'm the type of person that disapears for a month and I can't be doing that with commitments like school, especially with that heavy tuition. I never want to go to school again, I prefer to learn just fiddling with buttons and experimenting. I have nothing against people who want to go to school for training though, it's just not for me. |
