My father gave me his Minolta 200SRT when I was 12 years old. I started photographing daily life, friends, family and most importantly hardcore and metal live music. By the time I was 17 I just about gave up on painting. My high school art teacher gave me a beat-to-hell Besslar 35mm enlarger. I started doing poorly in school due to cutting class to take photos. I barely graduated from high school when I decided to get some technical training under my belt at the Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography in Philadelphia. It was great. I feel I really came into my own as an artist in my final semester there. |
