I've always been interested in photographing people, but I used to have a more traditional, portrait-oriented approach. At some point I started using models and photographs as means to expressing me and my thoughts, rather than just recording moments or faces.

Food photography is a more recent love of my mine. It started as simply wanting to record some of the things I had cooked or baked, but in the past couple of years has evolved into something completely different. These days making a food picture is just as much a creative process as working with a model.

As for influences, there are too many to mention. Photographers who explore interesting concepts and use strong colours always inspire me. People like Bettina Rheims, David LaChapelle, Erwin Olaf, and Miles Aldridge amaze me and their work never leaves me cold. I would love to work with wonderful contemporary women photographers such as Eliza Lazo de Valdez.
