“My areas of specialization are narrative-based fashion and figure in the landscape portraits,” Julian says. “I always shoot transparency film, so I guess my approach could be considered ‘old school’, where creating a transformation, through lighting and mood, is still done in camera. Mixing artificial light and daylight is an important element in my work and yes it is a team approach with assistants, art directors and stylists.”
