I believe that the key to all great art is life. In a painting, a picture, graffiti, or a film, without life, without soul, without passion, there is just emptiness. Look at the great works and see the life in the eyes of a subject, feel the wind blowing through the trees in the field, hear the water splashing. For instance - Paolo Roversi always manages to capture life in the models/people he shoots. Claude Monet allows you, through his brush strokes, to almost hear the water and smell the flowers. Amedeo Modigliani shows the character and life of his subjects, even though they are contemporary in style. I am just trying to achieve that in my work, create life even in the stillness of a single, captured and unmoving image. I fear it is a life long ambition but one I will happily continue to persue.

Find your own style and don't look at too many magazines. There seems to be a spate of sameness going through fashion and beauty - maybe even most imagery. Create unique and individual works and don't be swayed by what's out there already. Be patient and NETWORK!
