Owen Butler at RIT told me once that every photographer has a thing- something they just can't stop photographing.  It has become pretty obvious I have found my thing.  I anthropomorphize them, I give them identity and feature them as downtrodden, golden, and autobiographical; making them less commonplace and more a reflection of ideas.
