Fashion photographers need to have their own individualities and to keep their brain updating. Considering Chinese fashion photographers on active service, I really appreciate Mr. Chen Zhun and Ms. Chen Man's work. Mr. Chen Zhun is very good at telling stories through a series of pictures. He prefers to use soft lighting. On the other hand, Ms. Chen Man prefers hard lighting and cares a lot about the texture on the object's surfaces. She can create a good picture on a very simple background and has good control and application of shadows. More importantly, she has her own great feeling for style.
Helmut Newton is certainly a photography hero for me, but I have a very long list of people and things that inspire me.
