Now my subjects are mostly human beings; well, female beings to be exact. As you can see in my work, I love artificial lighting, I love posing people, I love building concepts, I love post-production, I love working in a team, so yes, I am a very commercially orientated photographer. Or at least I am trained to be one.

Fashion photography requires a lot of self-discipline and organizational skill. Most of the time I work with a lot of people in a shoot, up to 16 on the set. A big pro photographer can have a lot more than that. I have a makeup artist I consistently work with and the same goes with my hairstylist. As for models, I am constantly looking for fresh new faces that I think have what it takes to be in the spotlight. Your image will only look as good as your model does.

Even though I see myself as a fashion photographer, it is not so much the glamorous-glittery fashion world that attracts me but rather the female subject itself. My admiration and adoration of female beings is something that keeps my work constantly revolving around them. Even when I am shooting a wedding, emphasizing the beauty of the bride is always my top priority. My personal goal is to expose and sometimes enhance the beauty of a woman without being vulgar and erotic. For that reason, I am really not into glamour erotic photography. I want to create images that strongly imply ”beautiful women!” as opposed to “wow, f**k me!” (A distinction taken from Kim Taylor's article in the February 2006 edition of 180).
