I was going to title this piece ‘Cornered in NYC’, I developed a style of shooting straight at the corners with the 18mm. With straight on scenes I tried to move the model to one corner of the frame.

At times I felt pretty cornered simply having to come up with ideas in locations I'd never been to, with people I didn’t know and clothes I hadn't seen.

Other events such as about 20 New Jersey bikers surrounding the shooting location in the Meatpacking district, or when finding an interesting location one day only to find when returning someone had set up a carboard house, also had their effects.

Looking back it was an enjoyable experience and I learned a lot from it. I hope to do the same in Amsterdam in a couple of months time.
