I never studied art because I get angry when someone lectures me on how to do things.
My influences are everywhere, from fashion, pop and porn culture to the old Masters.
I especially love Klimt, Schiele, Bellmer, Dalì, Escher, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Giger, Bacon, Beardsley... it's hard to name them all.
Movies are another important source of inspiration, especially Lynch, Tarantino and Bergman.
Living in Italy, surrounded by masterpieces from the past, is both a blessing and a burden. The Italian Renaissance has an especially big influence in my art. It’s a part of my environment, and I feel the influences of the past as strongly as the influences of the present.
