These
illustrations are basically the trends for the summer 2006 menswear.
Stuff I’ve picked up on from runway shows from Paris and Milano.
I’ve got a whole nautical theme going on, subtle or
stereotypical; they were splashed all over the runways, you couldn’t
look at a single collection without bumping into some form of sailor
chic.
I don't work
from live models as you can see, it’s about as unreal as it comes. I
mainly draw from imagination. Of course I have my muses, people from
the past, people from the present, and a fair few I make up. My style
is all pop art for now. I have no fixed medium, I like to do new
things, mixing old and new world art forms, and always keep my audience
guessing about what I’m going to do next.
To graphics buyers, I'd like to say keep an open mind to different forms of art. In art, there is no right and wrong. Don’t be afraid to say yes, because there are people out there who trust your judgment. Don’t be afraid to say no, because there are people out there who value your judgment. To any
aspiring young artists: good luck, it’s a jungle out there.
