Seattle Waterfall When I was in Seattle, my friend Matt and I went outside for
a cigarette at about three in the morning. There was relatively
little traffic and we could hear water running so we walked toward the
street to find a broken sprinkler shooting water into the road. We
went back inside and grabbed my camera and tripod and walked back out
to observe the scene. I started shooting 20 second exposures of the
water and asked Matt to stand in front of it. I didn't tell him
how to stand so he started making up poses. He came up with this
and ended up putting his cigarette in his teeth and puffing on it for
20 seconds to get the appearance of water coming out of his mouth. When
I'm in Seattle he ends up driving me to surrounding Washington areas to
shoot nature stuff and always has interesting poses and ideas to offer. |
