I’m intrigued by the notion of infrared light (which is invisible to the naked eye) manifesting into photographic images. Its enigmatic dreamlike look seems to uncover a dimension that really does exist beyond the confines of our visual spectrum.
I began to realize the charm and isolation of these mysterious locations and cultures was disappearing rapidly and an urgency took hold of me to photograph them in their natural and surreal beauty, before the chance was lost forever.
