Our resolve to avoid recreating an existing image buckled when it came to Lolita. The famous poster of a teenage coquette in heart-shaped sunglasses, sucking suggestively on a lollipop, was just too tempting to resist. After an exhaustive search for heart-shaped shades, Emily finally found a pair, which she painted with pink nail polish. We found a perfect model -- fresh-faced Michelle, who at 23, could easily pass for a teen. Given Michelle’s features, makeup artist Nicki Traikos of Mango Tango Make-up Design, opted for a soft natural look. But for the slightly more provocative lollipop shots, she incorporated a pink lip gloss.
