Finally, to evoke the scene where the girls are shown in a pool of blood, we had the models lie on the floor, which I flooded with light through a red gel. As a tribute to Stanley Kubrick, the images of this series admittedly pale in comparison to the original sources of inspiration.     But as an exercise in creative collaboration, it was an odyssey well worth taking.
