I know that some people dislike this type of fantastic image, but they are in demand by editors all over the world for magazine and books. This is not pure one-shot photography but conceived with many shots. This image is made with 3 shots. When I saw the tree, the idea grew in me to make this, it's pure fantasy. Fantasy was a must in my profession and is still now in my hobby.
As an art-director I was supposed to bring in new creative visuals. At first with AD markers, airbrush or cameras and later with Photoshop, the magic solution is attained. No limits to imagination.
The style of my present photos is based on my professional past. If the image has no ”saut créative”, than it’s missing something. There must always be an idea in the work. Either simple, more comically unreal or complexly surrealistic.
The idea is, for me, more important than the technique. However, I am often asked to teach workshops on these techniques in Art schools.
