I have always been interested in human individuality and self-expression. The “Naked Faces” project is devoted to the relationship between a human’s inner world and their behaviour in society. Society still restricts the behaviour and thoughts of a human being.
This
project is a kind of a protest intended to show that a person should
remain who they are and that people should perceive them in the way
they are. The
persons presented in my works lack individuality: the eyebrows and the
eyelashes are removed, the skin is smoothed.
I have always tried to make pictures that observers are not indifferent
to, but that does not mean that their emotions should only be positive
- they can
express both alarm, and fear, and a tearing away.
Visually I am
inspired by the surrealists and the culture of fashion. I often
shock
people. I try to create my personal aesthetic in the works, I try
to combine a reality with an artificiality.
