Because I published my book myself, it became a commercial venture very quickly. I wanted my body of work to be understood in a very limited amount of time.  Exposure is everything to encouraging you to carry on.  Doing the book was a very easy process for me.

Publishing a book is an ego trip every artist would like to take... however, they should ask themselves how many people out there (excluding their relatives) are going to care what trip you are on?  Have you ever tried to store 300 books?  Regardless of the cost, you will not make any money.  Just face the truth... it's about one's ego.
