I think all work should be personal work – whether paid work or not. Style is so important. Clients hire you because they love your book, they love your style and it’s what they want. Your book should be defined and should yell at the client who you are. Every one of my shoots has my heart in it and it’s a big emotional attachment with ups and downs. Literally at the end of a 10 hour shoot, I’m mentally exhausted.. it’s an impossible feeling to explain.
