I like to 'see' the person I'm working with - even if they're pretending to be something else, I'd like it to still be them. So often I see photographers whose work might be fabulous but the sessions all start looking the same - the technique is there, the pose, the light, the props, the model - all there - but the personality is missing and that bothers me.  Other than that, I just like things to be beautiful - but not necessarily idealized.

I still consider myself a young photographer - but if I had to say anything to a beginner, it'd be that nothing in a book or magazine is ever straight from the camera.
