What got frustrating was trying to learn posing and lighting concepts with only my family as models. Another photographer, Alex Lee, recommended going to modeling sites and offering tfp. That was the beginning of my fashion work.  It was an absolute blast to be working with people who enjoyed being photographed and I had a lot of fun. I still do the occasional tfp.  I got into headshots by volunteering to take them at a summer stock production that I was playing in the pit for. From that point, it's been word of mouth. Right now, I've been getting some of my models from  Modelmayhem.com - I've had the best experiences there from both other photographers and models.  I also have a site through Musecube.com and I've been on OMP (though not at the moment).

I joined the CT PPA in the summer of 2004 and opened my own studio in February 2005. I specialize now in headshots, modeling portfolio development and seniors. I've always liked producing cooler images. I prefer to have more of a 'magazine' type feel to my sessions.
