You might ask what it is after all - photography or painting?
On the one hand, technically it is photography. The final impression is of painting. For me, pure photography means colours, lines, textures, volume. But it's not the source of inspiration, and not the final outcome. Though there are rare exceptions when the "photo - germ" emerges as a genuine, integrated result, with personality.
