Quip “for
the trendsetters who layer it up for the street, to the girl
who want a subtle touch of unique chic”. This line by Jay Borrig is
inspired by her creativity and by hard working, informed city girls.
“Quip is the essence of city style”. SDG 033 “all things that are impermanent, imperfect and incomplete”. A collection created by James Samarita and Jacqueline Parhar, their goal is to create fashion which is timeless, season-less, intimate and individual. They strive to take traditional elements and make them contemporary; they describe their designs as evolutionary. Nostalgy is by designer Samantha Thomas. It’s a collection of edgy women’s wear that appeals to the re-creation of style, rather than followers of trends. Unexpected fabric combinations and vintage influenced funky trim mixes two looks under one label. David Dixon stands out among his Canadian counterparts as one of the leaders in women’s fashion design. His designs have won him a following among the elite communities of film and fashion including Meg Ryan, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Holly Cole to name a few. The theme that is noticed in his collection is quiet elegance. His clothing combines luxury with the functional and fantasy with sensibility. POW “one of the most prominent Montreal designers of his generation”. Andy The-Anh has won several fashion awards including the Young Designer award at Salon de la Jeunesse. The collection is a sexy and modern mid–range directional line of sportswear, meant for active, fashion conscious women. The entire evening was a lesson in business and glamour, with an emphasis on the motto “we are in fashion, and we mean business”. Every detail told a story and opened the eyes of many who never thought of fashion as a business. It was a tremendous support for a great cause. |
