I started to pursue photography seriously about three years ago, my son bought a Nikon D100 and started taking pictures. I possessed at that time a 1.2MPX Sony, and I had taken pictures with it for several years. I decided to share my images with my son, and we became competitive, I would say. My close friend, as well, inspired me to improve my skills and to invest seriously in what was originally a simple hobby. As I felt my confidence increase, I bought some quality gear, and joined some inter-active photo web-sites. By viewing photos of other amateurs and paying more attention to the work of more professional photographers, I was able to bring something that people found original. - Charisma
