It may sound funny
but the first photographic influence I remember is some old family
photos and yellowish slides I found in a box when I was a child. They
made me nostalgic, even if I didnt know the people on them. Years later
I met with the classics, Kertész, Brassai, Atget,
W.E Smith and others, and they pushed me into photography seriously.
Later Anne Arden McDonald and Francesca Woodman influenced me a lot
with their self portraits. I'm influenced by countless other things
that I see
every day, the films of Jeunet because of their interesting use of
color (thats why I want to try digital sometime), I really admire my
teacher Gabor Kerekes, but I also see lots of young artists whose works
are impressive and are keeping me open to anything new. Balazs Borocz is a Hungarian photographer. You can find his website at http://www.balazsborocz.com/ |
